Students who are accepted into the LIM Study Abroad program will be nominated to apply to Istituto Marangoni who will make the final decision on the application.

Orientation
All students are required to attend the LIM College Pre-Departure Orientation. Date, time and location are made available after acceptance into the program. Students may be required to attend an Orientation hosted by Istituto Marangoni and should plan their travel accordingly.
Courses
LIM students at Istituto Marangoni enroll in a predetermined course of study in the Fashion Marketing, Digital Communication and Media program. Students earn the equivalent of 12-15 US credits* studying Brand Communication, Advertising & Digital Storytelling, Fashion Marketing, and more.
*The final curriculum is determined by Istituto Marangoni. Students should meet with their Academic Advisor to discuss how this program will fit into their graduation plan.
Accommodations & Travel
While on-campus accommodation is not provided, Istituto Marangoni will guide students in finding housing.
Health Insurance
Students are encouraged to purchase private health insurance that provides coverage for the duration of the program. International insurance should cover (at minimum) comprehensive hospitalization, prescription medication, emergency medical evacuation, and repatriation of remains.
Program Cost
This is a tuition-based program. Tuition costs are determined by the host institution. Students pay tuition directly to Istituto Marangoni for the semester abroad and must apply for Matriculation Maintenance through the Office of the Registrar. In addition, students are responsible for airfare, housing, books, meals, and personal expenses.
Students who receive financial aid should meet with a Student Financial Services Counselor to discuss the status of their aid and how their participation in this program might be impacted.
Student Visa
Students will be required to have a visa to study for the semester. Students must have a valid passport that expires no sooner than 6 months past the end of the exchange experience to apply for the visa and should be prepared to show that they have access to sufficient funds to cover their costs for the semester as part of the visa application process.

Students are encouraged not to make any travel plans until their visa has been issued and they know the exact dates of its validity.
