Dear Faculty,

I wanted to let you know that we have several workshops planned for January 2023 that may help you has you prepare to teach.
  1. OLI Faculty Office Hours: We will be holding OLI Faculty Office Hours on Thursdays afternoons and Friday mornings. You can register through MyLIM-Events for the Zoom link.  And, of course, we are happy to connect with you 1:1 if these days/times do not work. Email OLI@limcollege.edu. If you are new to LIM College, please note, you have been added to Passport to Canvas, a quick training on using Canvas, in Canvas.
  2. ZOOM: We'll be holding a Teaching with Zoom training. This training covers all of the key features in Zoom to help make your virtual class sessions interactive and engaging. We will review old features and introduce new updates.
  3. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES: Focrun Nahar, our new (ish) Assistant Director of DEI and Accessibility will provide guidance on supporting students who need accommodations.
  4. ONLINE TEACHING: If you are teaching a fully online course (no schedules class meetings) we strongly encourage you attend the Online Teaching Essentials Workshop. We will cover the basics of how to engage students entirely through Canvas. 

In addition to workshops for you, we will also be holding Canvas trainings for LIM students the week before classes start. Please let your students know!

Join Focrun Nahar, LIM College's Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, as she reviews the process of registering for academic accommodations and best practices in implementing these accommodations.

She will also provide examples of various accommodations available to students and their associated implications.
