A Primer on Generative AI Tools

In this workshop, we’ll explore generative AI tools that can enhance your teaching and support your students. We’ll cover tools like Co-pilot, chatGPT, and Claude, and discuss prompt engineering and best practices for you and your students. Since ChatGPT’s public launch in November 2022, several other generative AI tools have emerged, both free and paid. By the end of this session, you’ll be able to:

1. Explain how faculty can use these tools to support their teaching.
2. Explain how students can use these tools to support their learning.
